This site is developing more and more to a blog on photography. It is chemistry. Chemistry reacting with the blogosphere and fed by my urge to learn the art of seeing in all its facets. If you’re looking for technical information on photographic equipment, Schauplatz is not for you. If you’re interested in how to make your vision appear in the finished photograph and to make it understandable to other people, you’ve come to the right place.

This site used to be bilingual, English and German. Due to technical problems this is a bit off at the moment. You will find some posts with the text first in German, then in English. I’ll try to get full multi-language support back up as soon as possible.
